The EXC-4000 carrier board series was developed to meet the needs of avionic testers for multi-protocol integrated, digital bus testing. Modules may be selected out of a growing list which currently includes MIL-STD-1553/1760, MMSI, H009, ARINC-429, ARINC-708/453, Serial (232/422/485), Discrete and CAN bus. Additionally, an IRIG B decoder implements a global time stamp relative to the IRIG B pulses. The M8K429 is an ARINC-429 multi-channel test and simulation module to be used on the Excalibur 8000 family of carrier boards. The module supports up to five ARINC-429 channels in any combination of transmitters and receivers. Each of these channels feature error injection and detection capabilities. The receive channels allow for the storage of all selected Labels with status and time tag information appended to each word. The receivers allow for filtering and multi-storage modes of Data Words. The transmit channels operate via a transmit ‘instruction stack’ which allows scheduling of data transmissions and reduces the need for host computer intervention.The M8K429 comes complete with C-driver software library including the source code.
