Data Patterns' core business for over 20 years has been the development of Automated Test Equipment for critical aerospace requirements. Data Patterns developed a Multi Programmer with associated test automation software in 1994. Christened the DP-800 this product was adopted for the implementation of test rigs for Navigation Platform Test Benches, Engine Test Bed Automation, Cable Harness Test Systems, etc. This product was effectively utilized in the development of test benches required by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for the Polar Satellite Launch Vechicle (PSLV) and Geo Stationary Launch Vehicle (GSLV). Based on this foundation, the next generation test benches were developed in the cPCI architecture. Presently, Data Patterns develops cPCI based test systems for Laboratory applications as well as VME based test systems for challenging environmental conditions. DP-VXI-4503 is a 80 channel, one Form C (SPDT) relay switch designed as a C size VXI module. This high density switch module is designed with a register based interface occupying only one VXI slot. This module uses two Form ‘C’ relay switches. Out of the two contacts in each relay, one is used to provide the status of the relay through read back and the other is used for switching purpose.The user can write the command for the selected channels on to the primary latch of the FPGA section. Readback is available to confirm the selected commands. On command, the data from the primary latch is transferred to the secondary latch. The relay driver section provides the necessary drive to switch ON the relays. The buffers in this section drive the relay coils.This module features a back plane trigger for VXI triggered operation. On receipt of the back plane trigger the programmed relays will be energised/de-energised. Alternatively, software trigger can be used.

The DP-cPCI-2502 is a 16 channel analog output module organized in four groups of 4 channels each. Each group is isolated with respect to each other and with respect to the system using optical isolators and DC-DC converters. Each output channel is driven by a 16 bit resolution precision DAC. The input digital data is converted to analog signals of ±10V range. The digital data for the DACs is written from the cPCI interface via two banks of latches enabling a double buffered output scheme.
