Waterproof Inspection Cameras
-
waterproof inspection cameras have waterproof probes, General's DCS6XX wet/dry cameras, the DCS600A, DCS605, DCS660A, DCS665 & the DCS665-ART, go one step further because their grips and monitors are also waterproof. This feature, unique in the industry, allows users to inspect toilets and water and sewer lines carrying running water without worrying about dropping and "dunking" the instrument.

Water Quality Test Kits
-
The range of model shapes, sizes and capabilities of water quality test kits reflects the diversity of potential end users, who could just as easily work for a small laboratory as for a giant water treatment plant. The simplest water test kits are pocket-sized and measure only one water-quality parameter, such as pH or conductivity. A step above these water test kits are test kits able to measure multiple parameters, including total dissolved solids and dissolved oxygen. A bit higher up the price-performance curve are industrial-quality handheld water test kits that measure one or multiple parameters, and may even log the readings to enable trend analysis.

Temperature/Humidity Monitors
-
Together, an environment's temperature and relative humidity (RH) indicate how comfortable it "feels" to humans. General sells a variety of temperature/humidity monitors that either show real-time readings like the A600FC High Temperature Analog Humidity-Temperature Meter or log measurements over time for trending purposes such as the HT50 USB Temperature-Humidity Data Logger. Trend analysis is the rationale for another popular application for temperature/RH monitors - water damage restoration.

Pressure Meters
-
General's line of pressure meters and manometers. The top-of-the-line pressure meter is the data logging PM930SD Pressure Meter, which can measure up to 400 bar (5800 psi) when mated with an optional sensor. By comparison, the measurement range of the DM82XX family of manometers tops out at 100 psi. Also in this sub-category are the GPKXXX family of analog gas pressure test kits and the analog HG15 Hydrogage Manometer.

Thermocouple Thermometers
-
These industrial instruments’ claim to fame is their accuracy. General offers a wide variety of thermocouple thermometers distinguished by features such as the number of independent channels supported (from one to twelve) –such as the DT4208SD 12 Channel ThermoCouple Thermometer, ruggedness (the ability to survive a fall) – such as the Rugged DT62 Two Channel Thermocouple Thermometer, compatibility with one or more thermocouple types – such as the DT80-2 Two Channel “K” & “J” Thermocouple Thermometer, and data logging capability – such as the DT4947SD 4 Channel Thermocouple Thermometer with Excel Formatted Data Logging SD Card. Our portfolio of thermocouple probes is just as extensive.

Heat Index Monitors
-
eat Index Monitors have the same two broad sets of applications: industrial (HVAC) and consumer monitoring the heat index, RH, dew point and wet-bulb temperature of an outdoor field for the purpose of improving player and worker safety. The industrial heat index monitors come in two sizes; the pocket-sized consumer versions do not.

Tachometers/Torque Meters
-
Tachometers measure rotational or linear speed and come in two styles: contact and non-contact. Contact models come with various rubber/plastic adapters for interfacing the instrument’s shaft with the surface of the spinning or moving surface under test. Non-contact models come with reflective tape that is placed on the surface to become the target of the instrument’s low-power laser.

Infrared Thermometers
-
Two specifications tell you nearly everything you need to know about any infrared (laser) thermometer: its measurement range and its distance-to-spot (D:S) ratio. The wider the range and the higher the D:S number (a measure of its optical resolution), the better the instrument. Infrared Thermometers (IRTs) with lower numbers are perfectly adequate for simple tasks like spot-checking food temperatures and energy auditing such as the IRT207 Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer. Higher-priced infrared thermometers intended for industrial users may have a SKU that ends in "K" such as the IRT850K Ultra-Wide-Range Infrared Thermometer with K Port and Adjustable Emissivity. The "K" indicates that it can accept inputs from a "K" type thermocouple probe used to measure temperature on-contact.

IAQ Meters
-
General offers five indoor air quality (IAQ) instruments that measure and track four key IAQ parameters: Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and two toxic gasesformaldehyde and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The last two substances have made news lately for their ubiquity, invisibility and toxicity.

Refractometers
-
Refractometers are used for two different applications: Measuring the sugar concentration of beverages and food, and measuring the salinity, specific gravity, refractive index or viscosity of industrial fluids such as oils, polymers, brake fluid and anti-freeze. Advanced models sport automatic temperature control (ATC). All have a metal body, cushioned eyepiece and rubber hand grip.

Sound Level Meters
-
Real-time applications for our sound level meters include sound-system setups, music recording, and measurement of the noise produced by a machine or vehicle or typical of an environment. Data logging sound level meters such as our DSM402SD, DSM403SD and DSM20 provide the documentation needed to prove compliance with regulatory limits on noise exposure in public and at work.
