Externally terminated switches have the advantage that the terminations can be removed and replaced with higher power RF loads. This also allows alternative configurations such as terminated 4-port bypass (1 termination removed) and 5-port DP3T (both terminations removed). The 40-781A-522 (PXI) and 42-781A-522 (PXIe) are dual failsafe SPDT 40 GHz microwave relay modules with external terminations. The 40/42-781A range is available with one or two SPDT switches capable of switching frequencies up to 50 GHz in 50 Ω. They are available with either internal or external terminations and connections are via front panel mounted high quality SMA, SMA 2.9 or SMA 2.4 connectors.

Remote versions are also available which can support up to three multiplexers in a single slot.

The 40-615A-018 is a 1-bank, 80-channel, 1-pole MUX and is part of our range of PXI high density reed-relay based multiplexer modules. These feature a wide range of switching configurations and are especially useful where a large number of small multiplexers are required. Typical applications include signal routing in ATE and data acquisition systems. Connections are made via a front panel 200-pin connector.

PXI Single 2x2 RF Matrix SMB 75 Ohm

The 40-837-001 is a 75Ω 2x2 RF matrix with 1 bank in a single PXI slot. Loop-thru connections are provided on both the X and Y axis allowing the attachment of terminations for unused signals or for expansion to other matrices. Larger matrices are easily built with varied X and Y dimensions, such as 8x2 and 4x4 using multiple 40-837 modules.

The 40/42-860A-312 is a PXI/PXIe single insert/bypass switch with MU connectors and is part of Pickering's range of PXI Fiber Optic MEMS Switching modules. They are available in many high density formats with a choice of different connector styles to suit most applications: FC/APC (for optimal performance), FC/PC and SC/PC for general applications and LC and MU for high density applications. They are also available with an optional hardware interlock which, when activated, will return all optical switches to their default unpowered state.
