This version of our BRIC is part of a range of high-density PXI matrix modules. These modules are available in 2, 4 or 8-slot PXI sizes to suit all high performance matrix requirements and are constructed using instrumentation quality reed relays. With this high level of switching density, these PXI matrix modules allow a complete Functional ATE system to be housed in a single 3U PXI chassis. These BRIC matrix modules allow the use of lower cost 8 or 14-slot PXI chassis.

It has been designed to exhibit low insertion loss and VSWR through the use of modern RF relay technology at an affordable cost. The MUX has been carefully designed to ensure excellent and repeatable RF characteristics to frequencies of 3GHz. The design of the 40/42-835A minimizes the injection of noise and unwanted signals into the signal path by careful attention to the mechanical and electrical design.

This is achieved using Micro-Mechanical Mirrors driven by a highly precise mechanism and activated via an electrical control signal.
