The 40/42-855A-522-M is a PXI/PXIe dual 2-channel multiplexer with ST connectors and is part of Pickering's range of PXI Fiber Optic MEMS Switching modules. They are available in many high density formats with a choice of different connector styles to suit most applications: FC/APC (for optimal performance), FC/PC and SC/PC for general applications and LC and MU for high density applications. They are also available with an optional hardware interlock which, when activated, will return all optical switches to their default unpowered state.

It is supplied with removable solder bucket contacts suitable for wires up to 14 AWG. When the product is used without a backshell users should make their own cable strain relief arrangements and ensure appropriate electrical safety precautions are observed.

The 40-780B-551 (PXI) and 42-780B-551 (PXIe) are single SPDT 50GHz unterminated microwave relay modules. The 40/42-780B range is available with one, two, three or four SPDT switches capable of switching frequencies up to 67GHz in 50Ω or 2.5GHz in 75Ω. Connections are made via front panel mounted high quality RF coaxial connectors, SMA or N-Type for 50Ω and 1.6/5.6 in 75Ω versions. Remote versions are also available which can support up to three SPDT relays in a single slot.
