65-280-313 - Pickering Interfaces Ltd.
The 65-280-313 8x8 matrix is part of the 65-280 and 65-281 ranges of optical plug-in modules offering matrix & insert/bypass or multiplexer & SPST topologies respectively with all models based on MEMS fiber optic switches and available in various populations per plugin. In addition, a choice of different connector styles to suit most applications is offered: FC/APC (for optimal performance), FC/PC, SC/PC and ST for general applications and LC for high density applications. They use MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical-Systems) based optical switches to route signals between terminals by redirecting the optical signal. This is achieved using micromechanical mirrors driven by a highly precise mechanism activated via an electrical control signal.

Pickering Interfaces Ltd.
This LXI Optical Switching range consists of our LXI Scalable Chassis (model 65-200-002) that can be easily reconfigured by the removal and insertion of our optical switching plug-in modules shown below. The unit is purchased as an empty chassis along with the number of plug-in modules initially required (up to six optical matrix or multiplexer modules). As your requirements evolve, additional modules can be easily added, and the control software automatically detects the new configuration. The plug-ins are loaded into the chassis via the front panel, greatly improving the flexibility and ease of maintenance of the unit.

65-200-002 - Pickering Interfaces Ltd.
This LXI scalable chassis offers you a solution that can be easily re-configured by the insertion and removal of up to six LXI plug-in modules. It is purchased as an empty chassis with a quantity of plug-in modules required. Unused chassis slots are blanked off by the supplied blanking pieces. Cooling is provided by rear fans and front air intakes ensuring no wasted space when the chassis is rack mounted. The cooling system is adaptive to its operating environment to ensure the acoustic noise is minimized when used in quiet laboratory environments and low load conditions.
