PXI Quad 4 to 1 RF Multiplexer 3GHz 50 Ohm SMB

The 40-872-004 is a 50 Ohm 4 to 1 RF MUX available with 4 banks in a single PXI slot. It exhibits low insertion loss and VSWR through the use of modern RF relay technology at an affordable cost. Each MUX has been carefully designed to ensure excellent and repeatable RF characteristics to frequencies of 3GHz with each path having a nominally equal insertion loss. The injection of noise and unwanted signals into the signal paths of the 40-872 has been minimized by careful attention to the mechanical and electrical design.

In addition, MEMS devices have a long operational life of >3 billion operations and benefit from an operating time of <20 μs allowing greater test system throughput. The 40-265 range consists of 6, 4 or 2 channel modules (this version is the 6-channel, 1kΩ) that simulate the operation of a range of strain gauges making it ideal for testing strain gauge meters and a wide variety of industrial control systems. The range provides a simple way of replacing in house developed sensors with a low cost simulator having excellent performance. The 40-265 uses the same resistor bridge techniques that real life strain gauges are based on, ensuring accurate emulation under all conditions.

Fiber optic multiplexers create a signal path by redirecting the optical signal into a selected output fiber. This is achieved using Micro-Mechanical Mirrors driven by a highly precise mechanism and activated via an electrical control signal.
