The emitter on the EX-10 Sensor uses a particularly strong IR beam to not only penetrate transparent, but also semitransparent or colored containers such as PFA packages or shampoo bottles. Also, the sensitivity of the Sensor is adjustable to allow it to focus on a target, such as distinguishing foam from liquid in drinks, as an example.
