Smart Sensorgrid NG
-
Smart Sensorgrid belongs to the smart sensor family devised for on-line monitoring of diagnostic quantities in electrical assets. It provides traffic-light alerts to SCADA systems / asset and maintenance service. Smart Sensorgrid is a state-of-art PD analyzer, exploiting the TECHIMP T-F Map technology (patented). Such feature allows noise rejection and automatic alarm warning based on amplitude and repetition rate trend relevant to statistical parameters. The PD sensor, a HFCT, is integrated in the smart sensor body.

PD Calibrator
-
PDCAL has excellent pulse-with stability; scale calibration factors are permanently stored inside its flash memory. Thanks to on board photo coupler PDCAL output pulse can be synchronized with the actual line frequency through external surrounding electrical light source systems.

Tap Adapter
-
Techimp Voltage Tap Adapter is gender changer which allows the user to connect to the test tap (sometimes called power factor tap) of high voltage transformer bushings. While keeping the test tap well below the safety voltage level required by the manufacturer, the Tap Adapter lets the user to drain high frequency PD signals for diagnostic assessment of insulating materials.A synchronization signal can be derived as well.It is suitable for both single shot as well as continuous PD monitoring.Although it must be customized on the basis of the shape and dimension of the test tap (to be provided by the Customer), many models are readily available for the most established transformer bushings. A list of the presently available models is reported below.Several thousands of hours of operation are a guarantee of reliability and accurate design.

Inductive Sensor
HFCT Ø 30-39-50mm
-
Techimp HFCT is an inductive sensor for partial discharge measurements. It is suitable for on/off line PD tests on many electrical systems (cables, transformers, rotating machine, etc..). It has to be applied to the ground connection of the system to be tested.

PD Monitoring systems
TECHIMP PD Hub™
-
Techimp’s Partial Discharge (PD) Monitoring systems usually consists of a Central Unit and distributed Data Acquisition Units – the PD Hub™ - able to acquire and process the PD signals locally detected through PD sensors installed on each of main electrical assets (generator, transformer, HV cables and GIS).

Flexible Magnetic Coupler
FMC
-
The FMC (Flexible Magnetic Coupler) is a partial discharge sensor whose working principle is based on a direct magnetic coupling with the cable conductor and shield. It picks up a magnetic signal given by PD activity. His compact and robust design makes the FMC the optimal sensor for direct installation on cables and accessories such as joints and termination. This sensor has a sensitive side which has to face to the object under test, while the other side (shielded) reject the noise from the environment.

TEM Antenna
-
TEM antenna is a broadband antenna with a flat response which makes TEM suitable in a number of different applications. It has been optimized to operate in a frequency range typical for PD activity and it was designed to provide maximum sensitivity and high gain. Its compact and robust design (passive sensor) makes TEM the optimal sensor for direct installation on medium voltage Switchgears and motors. It can be virtually applied in any electrical equipment provided that it has apertures or EM transparent surfaces.

ITSM Synchro
-
The Impulsive Test Synchronization Module (ITSM) is a device aimed at generating a digital synchronization signal, to use the PDBaseII system for impulsive voltage PD test. The digital synchronization signal generated by the ITSM, is synchronized with the voltage impulse of the impulsive source (voltage generator). The ITSM must be connected between the DIN channel of PDBaseII and the output of the synchronization sensor (e.g. capacitive coupler). The ITSM provides also a low voltage signal reproducing the impulsive voltage source.

PDBase II
-
Even very skilled operators will find hard to make a diagnosis, in situations as the one mentioned above, through a mere visual evaluation of the pattern graph . Techimp new technology bases itself on the principle that efficient separation and identification of PD data can be achieved collecting PD pulses themselves and not only, as digital instrumentation commonly available does, PD pulse peak and phase.

Qualification and Quality Control Tests
Techsquare
-
New IEC standards, IEC 60034-18-41 and IEC 60034-18-42, have been issued to define the procedures for testing partial discharge inception voltage and the long-term performance (endurance) of Type I and Type II insulation systems used in rotating machines fed from voltage converters. Voltage impulse generators are required at least to test turn insulation, but they would be recommended for any testing under power electronics supply because of their capability to simulate the real electrical stress conditions. More generally, any type of electrical insulation system when subject to impulsive voltage waveform during life should be carefully evaluated in terms of partial discharge and endurance behaviour. This is why voltage impulse generators able to provide impulses with controlled amplitude and frequency are needed to face this new testing challenge.
