TRT Advanced series is the newest DV Power solution for transformer turns ratio measurement. Besides its main application, each turns ratio tester from this series also measures transformer excitation current and phase shift. Furthermore, all models perform automatic vector group detection and magnetic balance on three-phase transformers and three-phase autotransformers. They have a built-in true three-phase power source. For that reason, they can test transformers with special configurations, such as phase-shifting, rectifier, arc-furnace, traction transformers, etc.The instruments can output test voltages from 1 V AC to 500 V AC, depending on the model. With the highest test voltage 500 V AC, TRT500 provides the most accurate turns ratio testing of power transformers used in power generation and transmission. The output test voltage of TRT500 can be boosted to 5 kV AC using the external CVT20 extension transformer. This application is specially designed for testing turns ratio of capacitive voltage transformers. The other three models, TRT400, TRT250, and TRT100 can output up to 400 V, 250 V, and 170 V respectively. The low test voltage of 1 V AC enables turns ratio verification of current transformers.TRT500 is equipped with a large 10.1” graphical touch screen display. Other models, (TRT400, TRT250, TRT100) have 7” graphical touch screen display. Besides making the interface much more user-friendly compared to older turns ratio testers, it also brings certain options that were previously available only with DV-Win software. The most important are test templates and automatic test mode. Users can simply create test templates, store them in the instrument’s memory, and load when in the field with just a few clicks.This turns ratio test set, as well as all other DV Power turns ratio testers, has a built-in tap changer control unit. It enables remote control of an on-load tap changer (OLTC) directly from the instrument. In order to make the most out of this feature, the instrument can be programmed to do everything automatically – running turns ratio tests, changing OLTC tap positions, and saving results. This option, especially in combination with test templates, significantly facilitates and shortens the turns ratio testing time. Automatic test mode minimizes human errors, which makes the measurement more reliable.

Winding ohmmeters RMO-M series measure winding resistance of inductive test objects such as electrical motors and generators. Making a product “safe” requires an understanding of “hazards” that exist in each electrical product. Electrical shock is one of the four fundamental hazards. Because of that, it must be a part of any product electrical safety evaluation. Even though a product requires an electrical power source and uses electrical or electronic components, it should not present an electrical shock hazard to the user.Ground bond or earth continuity testing prevents electrical shock hazards. Similarly to a fault to earth, test instruments generate a high current. The standard requires that the resistance between protective earth and any conductive surface on the equipment does not exceed 0,1 Ohm. The test is performed by applying a DC current between the conductive surface and protective earth. By measuring the voltage drop, it calculates the resistance.RMO-E instruments are ideal for testing the protective bonding (grounding) of equipment following the standard IEC 61010-1. Applying current up to the value of 100 A and the ability to provide in the Contin menu (continuous operation) test current for the pre-set test duration (equal or exceeding 1 min) gives a user a possibility to easily check the protective bonding/grounding of the equipment. The full load voltage of 12 V assures proper measurement and accurate result. Finally, an instrument displays pass/fail classification according to user-preset parameters.

Battery load bank BLU-T is a powerful and lightweight solution designed for condition assessment of telecommunication and radio equipment backup supply. This instrument can perform the battery capacity test on battery strings such as Pb, Li-ion, Ni-Cd, and others. It tests battery strings with voltages in the range of 0,9 – 70,5 V DC. As a special feature, the BLU110T model enables capacity testing of single PB, Ni-based as well as Li cells (with current up to 100 A).The capacity test is conducted in an accurate, user-friendly way. Also, it is in accordance with battery testing standards: IEEE 450-2010, IEEE 1188-2005, IEEE 1106-2015, IEC 60896-11/22, and other relevant standards.BLU-T battery load bank enables setting the discharge current up to 350 A, with 0,1 A resolution. If higher currents are required, the BLU-T units can be connected in parallel, or BXL-T additional load units can be linked.The instrument offers a high power-to-weight ratio. BLU-C is the latest solution from DV Power for conducting a comprehensive battery capacity test. This universal instrument is applicable to any battery string, such as lead-acid, Li-Ion, Ni-Cd, and others, with voltages up to 800 V DC.BLU-C tester simplifies battery testing in multiple ways. The instrument provides monitoring of discharge parameters (graphically and numerically) in real-time on a 7-inch touch screen display. The instrument also enables measurement and monitoring of cell parameters (voltage/intercell voltage/temperature), which makes it a complete stand-alone discharge test system.The capacity tester is compatible with DV-B Win software. Because of that, the user can view detailed numerical and graphical presentations of key parameters, and create reports in various formats.The capacity test is performed in a user-friendly way according to battery testing standards: IEEE 450-2010, IEEE 1188-2005, IEEE 1106-2015, IEC 60896-11/22 and other.The battery tester enables setting the discharge current up to 300 A, with 0,1 A resolution. RMO-TW series is perfect for winding resistance measurements of inductive objects. It is ideal for testing transformer windings (power transformers, distribution, autotransformers) and for on-load tap changer verification. In addition, any RMO-TW transformer ohmmeter & tap changer analyzer can also perform transformer demagnetization.The series contains 4 models, with maximal test currents from 10 A (RMO10TW) to 50 A (RMO50TW). They are fitted in a portable and lightweight metal housing.All transformer ohmmeters from RMO-TW series generate a true DC ripple-free current with automatically regulated measurement and discharging circuit. The injection of current and discharge of energy from the test object are automatically regulated.Three independent channels enable testing of three windings in series. Consequently, this enables measurements of winding resistance in every tap position of an on-load tap changer without discharging between the tests.DV-Win software enables control and observation of the test process, as well as saving and analyzing the results on a PC. DV Power battery voltage supervisor – BVS, is an accurate battery voltage monitoring system that monitors the state of health of battery systems. It records important battery parameters such as battery voltage, inter-cell connection voltage, and ambient temperature. Overall string voltage and string current monitoring can be achieved by using an optional string voltage module (SVM) and string current module (SCM).There are two types of DV Power battery voltage supervisors:BVS – One cell voltage module measures 1 cellBVS-4 – One cell voltage module measures 4 cellsCVM modules detect cells that fail a discharge test based on monitored voltage values. Performing capacity/discharge test on a high-capacity battery may be challenging since high requirements are set on the discharge system. In cases when discharge test times need to be reduced, high load capacities are required from the discharge system. The battery extra load unit BXL is an additional load unit designed especially for this purpose.It is primarily used with BLU battery testers. However, the unit is a universal add-on device. This means it can be used as an additional load with any other discharge/capacity tester in the market.When discharge current exceeds the capacity of a single BLU device, extra load unit increases discharge capacity. A system of BLU and BXL instruments enables performing the capacity test in an accurate, user-friendly way in accordance to battery testing standards: IEEE 450-2010, IEEE 1188-2005, IEEE 1106-2015, IEC 60896-11/22, and other relevant standards.

Battery charger BAC series is a portable and universal battery charging solution. It is primarily intended for charging Lead-Acid, Ni-Cd and Li-ion batteries from 1 V DC to 300V DC level. However, the unit can charge the string of any battery type by one of the available charge modes:IU (constant current + constant voltage)UU (constant voltage + constant voltage with a current limit)Charging modes provide a safe regulation of charging procedure and achieves fast recharge and low risk of overcharge.Variety of implemented protections, such as thermal, overcurrent, undervoltage, and overvoltage, assure the charging process will be safe for the battery and the instrument itself.A user doesn’t have to switch off the main charger in order to use BAC series charger. Just the opposite, the BAC series charger should support the main charger to speed up the process. An alternative use is to quickly recharge a battery following a discharge test.The provided display enables users to monitor all relevant information during the charging process and to adjust charging parameters and limits in real-time.The instrument offers the best power-to-weight ratio in the market, weighing only 10 kg / 22 lbs with the maximum output power of 2,7 kW.The maximum charging currents for lead-acid, Ni-Cd and Li-ion batteries, at various battery voltages, are presented in the brochure.

When it comes to winding resistance measurement on three-phase power transformers and autotransformers, TWA Standard series offers some of the most technically advanced instruments with LCD display in the market. Both models are capable of testing six transformer windings with a one-time cable connection, as well as three-phase automatic transformer demagnetization. The stored magnetic energy is safely automatically discharged at the end of the test. The built-in tap changer control unit enables automated test mode, where the instrument operates the tap changer without operator input and records winding resistance results based on pre-selected stabilization criteria. This option makes the operator’s job significantly easier.Both models can output test currents from 5 mA to 25 A DC for the purpose of winding resistance measurement. TWA40D has a special test mode for checking the synchronization of on-load tap changers with three phases simultaneously tested in parallel, in which the total test current can rise to up to 40 A DC.TWA40D has additional advantages when it comes to non-intrusive tap changer analysis. The unique DVtest method enables checking the moving contacts of on-load tap changers during the transition, measuring the transition time, detecting open circuits, and many other types of faults. It is performed with 0.1 ms sampling rate, simultaneously with the measurement of tap changer motor current which helps with the detection of motor and mechanical issues. A special proprietary algorithm is used for testing tap changers connected through a built-in series (booster) transformer. The DVtest can be performed either on one phase or on three phases simultaneously. It can also be performed as an additional test simultaneously with the winding resistance test in all tap positions.An additional unique advantage of TWA40D is the capability of simultaneously testing the winding resistance of all three phases of a three-phase transformer (connected in a YN configuration). This can significantly shorten the total testing time – for example, it enables the operator to perform 33 measurements instead of 99 on a tap changer with 33 tap positions.The test leads for TWA three-phase transformer winding ohmmeters are interchangeable with the TRT turns ratio testers, which means that both sets of tests can be performed with a single test lead connection to the power transformer terminals.

After a DC current test, such as winding resistance measurement, the magnetic core of a power or instrument transformer may be magnetized (remnant magnetism). It can cause various problems such as wrong diagnostics, inaccurate measurements on a transformer, inrush current at the start-up of a power transformer, or incorrect operation of protective relays due to magnetized CT cores. The best way to eliminate this source of potential problems is to use demagnetizer on the power or instrument transformer.The DEM60C is a fully automatic test instrument which performs three-phase transformer demagnetization. Transformer magnetic core demagnetization requires the application of AC current with magnitude decreasing to zero. DEM60C provides this AC current by internally changing the polarity of a controlled DC current. During the demagnetization process, the instrument supplies the current at decreasing magnitude for each step, following a proprietary algorithm. It can demagnetize single-phase and three-phase power transformers.The instrument can be connected to all three phases of a power transformer to be demagnetized, on either the primary or the secondary side. If a user selects specific vector diagrams for different types of transformers, DEM60C will run a specific demagnetization procedure for each transformer type (i.e., single phase, delta, wye/star, zig-zag.) without switching the test leads.DEM60C enables safe and efficient power transformer demagnetization. The instrument automatically regulates the injection of current and discharging energy from the inductance. During and after the operation, an intrinsically safe discharge circuit with an indicator rapidly dissipates the stored magnetic energy. The discharging circuit is independent of the power supply, which improves its reliability in case of loss of power.Test currents of up to 60 A DC enable efficient demagnetization of even the largest power transformers. Using a DV Win software, it is possible to control DEM60C externally.
