This is accomplished by characterizing the 5730A's 50 MHz output using a precision thermal voltage converter (TVC), thus reducing uncertainties to calibrate the 5790B.

The 96000CONN and 9600CONN connector kits include a range of adapters and torque wrenches intended for use with the 96000 Series RF Reference Sources (9600CONN for the 96040A and 96000CONN for the 96270).The 9600CONN connector kit includes one each of 50 Ω and 75 N-Type male-female adapter for use with the 96000 Series levelling head as a “connector saver” or “sacrificial connector” to avoid risk of damage when making connections to UUT/DUT instruments.
