Semi-Rigid Test Probes Up to 6 GHz

Fairview Microwave’s semi-rigid test probe assemblies come in multiple cable diameters to help when attaching the unterminated end of the probe to a circuit board trace. There are two versions including straight-cut probe ends for those that would like to customize the dimensions of the center conductor and dielectric dimensions, as well as pre-stripped probe ends that are ready for immediate use. By soldering the outer conductor to the signal ground and the exposed center conductor to the trace carrying the signal of interest, simple sampling measurements can be made without having to create a separate subassembly circuit board or add a connector to the circuit layout which can take up valuable real estate. Fairview provides 3 diameters of semi-rigid coax and 3 different lengths from 3 inches to 12 inches to fit a variety of trace widths and applications. All test probes are 100% RF tested to ensure the cable assemblies operate to 6 GHz and also to make sure that the SMA connector interface meets the 1.35:1 VSWR specification prior to shipping. To protect the small diameter coax from damage, each part is shipped in a clear protective tube that can also be used for storing the probes for future use.

Fairview Microwave’s precision waveguide twists operate from 18 to 110 GHz across seven frequency bands with waveguide sizes ranging from WR-42 (18 GHz) to WR-10 (110 GHz). Our portfolio of waveguide twists feature gold plated brass construction that offers excellent electrical performance with VSWR as low as 1.02:1 and insertion loss as low as 0.2 dB. Both 45° and 90° waveguide twists are available from stock, with the 45° versions being available in both right hand and left hand twist configurations. Low PIM Cable Assemblies

Low-PIM jumper cables feature a maximum PIM level of -155 dBc and are made with UL910 plenum-rated SPP-250-LLPL cable. The PIM levels of each cable have been fully tested with the results of those tests marked on each cable. These Low-PIM cables boast a maximum operating frequency of 6 GHz and a maximum VSWR of 1.25:1 up to 2 GHz and 1.35:1 up to 6 GHz. These Low-PIM cables are lightweight, flexible and have an operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C and are available with 4.3-10, 7/16 DIN, N and 4.1-9.5 mini-DIN connector combinations, including right-angle connectors.

Fairview RF detectors are zero bias Schottky diode and have negative video out. Electromechanical Switches DC to 40 GHz

Fairview Microwave’s electromechanical switches exhibit extremely low insertion loss repeatability with guaranteed levels of 0.03 to 0.05 dB over 5 to 10 million switching cycles, depending on the model. Performance includes low insertion loss of 0.3 dB with high isolation of 100 dB typical, and input power ratings of up to 70 watts CW and up to 1 watt for hot switching applications. These switches cover broadband frequencies from DC to 40 GHz and are offered in three configurations: single-pole double-throw (SPDT), single-pole four-throw (SP4T) and single-pole six-throw (SP6T).

SPDT PIN Diode Switches

Fairview offers a comprehensive selection of 23 different models of SPDT PIN diode switches that cover frequencies ranging from 10 MHz to 67 GHz. The high isolation levels up to 80 dB ensure that unwanted signals will not leak into the desired signal path. Other critical performance features include low insertion loss as low as 1.1 dB and fast switching speed performance as low as 50 nanoseconds. Both absorptive and reflective designs are available and every model utilizes integrated TTL compatible high speed driver logic circuitry. Millimeter Wave Continuously Variable Waveguide Attenuators

Our millimeter wave variable waveguide attenuators allow designers and engineers to test their systems at various signal strengths and attenuation values to determine the optimum signal performance of the system. The key feature of these waveguide attenuators is that the attenuation level is adjusted using a built-in micrometer which enables repeatable and rapid re-setting to different attenuation levels without the need for additional external components. Our waveguide attenuators handle varying attenuation levels from 0 to 30 dB over the specified band allowing the designer to tune the attenuation level needed for the application. These continuously variable waveguide attenuators cover a broad frequency range of 33 to 110 GHz in five bands and also display flat performance across a wide band with low insertion loss.

These short-open-load-through (SOLT) calibration kits feature precision 3.5mm connectors, have a 26.5 GHz calibration capability, gold plated short-open-load-thru and include a handy lanyard. These SOLT calibration kits have a phase deviation of +/-2 degrees maximum and return loss of 30 dB minimum and feature an impedance level of 50 Ohms nominal.
