Phototransistors are photodiode-amplifier combinations integrated within a single silicon chip. The phototransistor can be viewed as a photodiode whose output current is fed into the base of a conventional transistor. These photodiode-amplifier combinations are put together to overcome the major limitation of photodiodes: unity gain. The typical gain of a phototransistor can range from 100 to over 1500.

Omniblock Integrated X-Ray Systems

Omniblock® X-ray generators from Excelitas Technologies integrate the high-voltage source and X-ray tube into one consolidated housing. This design configuration eliminates the high-voltage cables and connectors reducing cost while improving system design flexibility and streamlining integration. They are specifically designed for generating X-rays in static or rotating applications using proven designs of up to 180 kV and 2.4 kW. Typical applications for Omniblock X-ray generators include baggage screening, medical imaging, food inspection, industrial analysis and many other cost-sensitive and space-constrained X-ray applications.

All Arrays are provided as plug-and-play Modules featuring a sensing chip, robust metal housing with focusing lens, a PCB with microprocessor for calibration and bus interface and a quick connector for streamlined plug-and-play integration. We offer 8-pixel, 16-pixel and 32-pixel Linear IR Imager Array Modules for field-proven effectiveness in scanning presence detection, non-contact temperature measurement, smart-home products, and office electronics. FLIM Camera Systems

The Excelitas pco.flim camera system consists of the pco.flim camera and pco.flim laser, with a complete frequency synthesizer, which is required for the generation of the modulation signals in the frequency domain. The pco.flim series features a high frequency modulated CMOS image sensor that enables pixel-wise measurements of sample luminescence lifetime distributions in frequency domain suitable for fluorescence lifetime imaging. At a maximum speed of 10 Hz, full luminescence lifetime distributions can be measured at 1 Mpixel resolution. With flexible coupling and easy setup, the pco.flim is an ideal choice for wide-field FD-FLIM instruments and suitable for a variety of biomedical applications requiring a large frame and high-speed acquisition.
