This is our top of the line Hardy Shaker. It provides the ability to set the amplitude and change the frequency range without the amplitude changing. This automation makes conducting vibration tests easier. Tests can be conducted on multiple vibration transducers, and then the saved data can be transferred via USB Flash Drive to be displayed in an automated and customizable report using an Excel template on your computer. In manual mode, the vibration test level and test frequency can be set from 7 Hz to 10,000 Hz. The high accuracy instrument can display the vibration level in terms of g’s peak, velocity peak (in/sec or mm/s) or displacement peak-to-peak (mils or µm). The unit can support payloads up to 800 grams (see frequency limits in the manual). A built-in display reads the output sensitivity, which can be stored in memory. Complete testing sequences and data can be stored in memory for each tested sensor, the unit logs the data on the spot or stores it for later use. For testing of heavy transducers or at high frequencies, the HI-903 automatically corrects the sensitivity calculation for the effects of transducer mass loading. A built-in self-test program checks for accuracy of all calculations. The HI-903 has a built-in battery charger that can operate on 120 or 240 VAC. The unit comes in a rugged Pelican case.

The SSI is a Plug & Play Smart TEDS IEEE 1451.4 compliant portable handheld Load Cell Indicator. Just plug in a TEDS compatible Load Cell or Torque Sensor and the SSI will automatically self-calibrate. When used with a non-TEDS Load Cell or Torque Sensor, the SSI can be set up by simple front panel push buttons. The SSI can be scaled to a full 5 digit display from 0 to 99,999 counts to read directly in engineering units such as grams, ounces, pounds, inch pounds, etc. The SSI also has a Units key for automatic conversion of readings for load, torque and pressure. The SSI has an ultra-fast signal-sampling rate of 15,360 samples/second for true peak and/or valley testing capability. Auto-tare allows the meter to be set to zero for any input signal level. The SSI also features a USB port for data logging to a PC. You can also log data to the SSI’s internal memory storing up to 16,000 time and date stamped readings. The SSI also features 2 built-in solid-state alarm relays with LED and audible indicators. EL Testing for Si Solar Cells using High Performance CCD. The determination of luminescence (photo emissions) in solar cells is an important characterization tool. Typical solar cells often have defects which limit the efficiency or lifetime of a cell. Many of these defects are visualized with Luminescence Imaging. By using this technique, the manufacturing process can be optimized to produce better cells. Luminescence Imaging takes advantage of the radiative inter-band recombination of excited charge carriers in solar cells. The emitted photons can be captured with a sensitive CCD camera to obtain an image of the distribution of the radiative recombination in the cell. This distribution is determined by the local excitation level, allowing the detection of electrical losses, thus mapping the diffusion length of minority carriers as the emitted light is low intensity and in the near infra-red range, the CCD camera has a high sensitivity wavelength from 900 to 1100 nm with little thermal noise. This CCD camera provides excellent resolution of 1024 x 1024 pixels with a large 1μm pixel size, multi-megahertz readout speed, and robust USB 2.0 connectivity. Based on the Windows operating system, this software provides simple and intuitive control of the instrument. All of the usual File functions are available, as well as controls over instrument settings such as resolution, apodization, zero-fill and number of coadds. Display options enable the user to display interferograms, spectra or both, as well as to adjust plot scales and units. Onboard math processing allows for real-time calculation of ratio, difference, and absorbance, and when using our calibrated hot-cold blackbody calibrators, the ability to measure calibrated radiance. Further, WinFT offers the ability to measure sample temperature in the radiance function by matching a Planck to the calibrated radiance. With the gold diffuse plate, the software can also compute and display absolute emissivity of samples. Our software also enables exporting of data files, now made even easier with our USB and LAN connections. In addition, the software has been designed to be easily run using the keyboard function keys and single letter commands, making the use of a mouse in the field optionalas well as minimizing key strokes when taking measurements in the field.
