    In traditional TVS measurements, the operator must select the end points of the mobile ion peak todetermine the area to analyze.  Though the selection of these points is a simple matter for the operator, the required input precludes using this technique in asemi-autonomous production environment. The goal of TVS Production testing is the rapid determination of mobile charge concentration with little or no operator input. The test methodology must be compatible with production environments where accuracy, easeof use, and minimum operator involvement are of paramount concern.  Also, the possibility of automated wafer handling must be considered.

    This Hardy Shaker provides the ability to set the amplitude and change the frequency range without the amplitude changing. This automation makes conducting a test easier. A test can be conducted on a vibration transducer and manually recorded. Multiple tests are not saved; for multiple tests use the HI-903 or HI-803 units. The HI-913 is used for testing from 7 to 10,000 Hz, it offers adjustable frequency and vibration levels. This provides a reference source for verifying the accuracy of vibration transducers, connectors, cabling and instruments or instrumentation systems. The HI-913 has a ruggedized suspension system that can support heavy transducers (up to 800 grams - see frequency limits in the manual).     The most important features of the surge tester are its ability to test the entire winding insulation system. A high voltage surge generates turn to turn, coil to coil, and phase to phase voltage stress, as well as ground insulation stress. When used as a dielectric test, accurate voltage readings are essential. The HV Surge Tester monitors the voltage directly across the winding under test. This voltage is displayed on an oscilloscope and recorded on the Pass/ Fail LED latch monitor. This voltage will be accurate despite the impedance of the winding being tested. The insulation system can be tested way above the operating voltage because of the brief duration of the applied voltage test pulse. This allows faults to be detected long before they become apparent at operating conditions.
