  • Air Amplifiers

    Nex Flow Air Products Corp.

Nex Flow® Air amplifiers are compact, low cost air flow “movers” that are virtually maintenance free. Applications include the venting of fumes and smoke, conveying of low weight materials, and entraining a high volume of air to cool, blow off, and dry. Air Amplfiiers use the “Coanda effect” to draw in the surrounding atmosphereic air while consuming only aminimal amount of compressed air. These products can amplify airflow up to 17 times (depending on the size) resulting in dramatcally reduced levels of noise. Air Amplifiers (also called Air Movers) draw in atmospheric air from the back of the unit as well as having downstream entrainment further amplifying the flow. They are used for cooling and venting. While the force produced for blow off decreases as the amplifier outlet diameter increases, these Air Movers are ideal for cooling because of the high velocity outlet fow and and are much more effective for cooling compaed to air nozzles.

  • RF Components

    Copper Mountain Technologies

Using a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) for RF component testing for design and manufacturing is based on how the component performs. The analyzer is used in multiple ways from design to manufacturing to tuning, field monitoring and maintenance of antennas, filters, mixers, amplifiers, circulators, isolators, and other RF components. Key considerations component designers should pay attention to when finding an analyzer that fits their needs is a great dynamic range, low trace noise, and fast measurement speed.

  • Acoustic Calibrators

    Castle Group Ltd.

When you're ready to take noise measurements, it's strongly recommended that you perform a field calibration using an Acoustic Calibrator. You should calibrate your sound meter before you start to measure, and then once you've finished you should perform a reference check against the calibrator and make note of any drift that has occured. You can find out more about performing Field Calibrators by reading this post and watching a short video.

  • Iifrasound Monitoring System

    INFRASONITUS - BioAge s.r.l.

The infrasonic signal, acquired by a suitable microphone, is filtered by an active low-pass filter of the fifth order with a cut-off frequency at 20 Hz, with low noise, then it is sampled and acquired by a 16-bit ADC with a speed of 50 samples. / sec. The amplification factor can be set to 0.1 / 0.5 / 1/10.The infrasonic monitoring system includes a complete diagnostic functionality that performs an exhaustive functional test without the use of other tools: this function is extremely useful when the system is installed on the volcano at high altitudes.

  • Shunt Voltage References

    Analog Devices Inc.

Analog Devices offers a broad line of shunt precision voltage references that combine excellent accuracy and temperature stability with low noise and small packages. These devices operate in a manner that is functionally equivalent to a Zener diode. The bias current must be set higher than the sum of the maximum quiescent current of the voltage reference and the maximum expected load current. Since shunt voltage references are typically biased with a resistor, the voltage reference can operate on a wide range of input voltages.
