You can configure each line for input or output and you also can configure each line with a user-configurable pull-up or pull-down resistor. Using the PXIe-6509 programmable power-up states, you can configure the initial output states in software to ensure glitch-free, safe operations when connected to industrial actuators. The PXIe-6509 can use digital I/O watchdogs to switch to a configurable safe output state to ensure detection and safe recovery from fault conditions. The PXIe-6509 provides programmable input filters for eliminating glitches or spikes and for debouncing digital switches or relays through a software-selectable digital filter.
