Such testing would include Hipot and continuity testing of the power cord or wiring harness. The SafeBloc allows the bare wires of a power cord or wiring harness to be connected to the test equipment via clips inside the enclosure. Power can only flow through the device once it is closed and the test sequence is then started, ensuring that the test operator will not get shocked during the testing procedure. The operator (wearer) is tested for a resistance to ground of greater than 250K ohms and less than1,200,000 ohms. The upper limit notifies you of an unacceptably high resistance value (IE possible loss of effective dissipation) and the lower limit warns of unsafe low resistance (possible risk of electric shock from surrounding motors, live wires etc.). The unit is not switchable.
