This test fixture provides the necessary panel controls, switching and cable pin-outs required to test the KPI-552/KPI-553/A series of HSI's as described in their respective maintenance manuals. This fixture will serve as the "Instrument Bench Tester" and does have the required differential resolvers and relay switching. Panel jacks are provided for the Heading, Course, RMI and ADF synchro sources that are external to this fixture. The use of external synchro sources serves to minimize the cost of this panel. Additional items incorporated on the panel are test jacks to monitor the meter drive voltage and current as well as a momentary switch to open the meter drive and this serves to verify sticky meter stops. The fixtures rear panel provides for all power inputs as well as an I/O connector if the shop desires to interface an external synchro panel.

The UCI hardness measuring method complies to ASTM A1038.The ultrasonic contact impedance (UCI) probe is purposed to be used for hardness measuring in the case of the testing area minimal thickness (from 1 mm), objects of complex surface shape, and for measuring surface hardened layers hardness.This method is very fast and easy: place the probe on the tested object surface, press the probe with the required effort to the surface and save the hardness value, shown on the display of the device. Small size diamond indenter allows measuring hardness value of all items, which are thicker than 1 mm. The UCI method of hardness testing is the least destructive because the hardness tester NOVOTEST T-UD3 with UCI probe leaves much smaller prints (imprints) than the majority of bench hardness tester would. That’s why a portable hardness tester with UCI probe is the best choice.

The PCI102 allows testing of AMC.1, AMC.2 and AMC.3 modules in a PC environment during development and manufacturing; reducing the costs associated with maintaining different platforms. The PCI101 is a PCI-X edge style carrier with PCIe x4 lanes going to the AMC module. The AMC.1 module connects to the host PC’s PCI-X bus via a PCI-X to PCI ebridge. The AMC.2 module’s GbE ports are routed to RJ-45s. The AMC.3 differential pairs are routed to two SATA connectors. As with all our Unisim solar simulators, they exceed the ASTM, IEC and JIS international standards for spectral match and temporal instability. The easy-maintenance enclosure houses a TS-Space Systems 2-zone Unisim solar simulator which combines metal halide and incandescent sources via a proprietary filter system to give an AM0 close-match spectrum (AM1.5 drop-in filter sets are available).
