  • General Purpose

    Columbia Research Laboratories

This group of accelerometers is made up of the 3000 and 5000 Series. The 3000 Series are standard size units, including many with all welded construction, that are hermetically sealed for use in dirty and humid environments. The 5000 Series are smaller and lighter in weight than standard units. Characteristics are almost identical except that with miniature units higher natural frequencies and shock levels can be obtained due to their inherently reduced mass. Sensitivities, however are somewhat lower. High Temperature models are available that operate to +500°F. For best performance use with the Columbia Model 4601 Charge Amplifier or Model 5810 Inline Charge Converter.

  • Inertial Navigation Systems

    Safran - Navigation & Timing

An inertial navigation system (INSAn INS or Inertial Navigation System - sometimes used synonomously with IMU is a device used to measure a vehicle's speed, position, velocity, heading and orientation by using an accelerometer and a gyroscope.) is a high-tech navigator using motion and rotation sensors alongside a computer to figure out where something is, how it’s moving, and how fast. By using dead reckoning, the INS method for knowing positioning, it continuously calculates an object’s position and orientation based on its initial location. This allows users in airplanes, submarines, or even spacecrafts to guide and keep track of their location without signals such as GPSGlobal Positioning System is a navigation satellite system. • Measurement

    Vibration Meter - ZETLAB Company

The input signal of the Vibration meter software, which is the output signal of the accelerometer, i.e. the vibrational acceleration signal, is filtered by means of one of four possible digital band filters. Then, based on this signal, vibrational velocity and displacement signals are calculated by means of integrating filters. Thus, the software generates three signals which are transferred to the ZETLAB data server virtual channels created by the program and having the word “Acceleration”, “Speed” or “Displacement” in their names, respectively.Signals are averaged for a selected time interval (0.1 s, 1 s, or 10 s), after which the obtained values are displayed in the dialog box elements of the Vibration meter program. It is possible to display a root-mean-square (RMS), average amplitude or peak value.

  • MEMS Module

    COMSOL, Inc.

The design and modeling of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) is a unique engineering discipline. At small length scales, the design of resonators, gyroscopes, accelerometers, and actuators must consider the effects of several physical phenomena in their operation. Consequently, COMSOL Multiphysics is ideally suited for MEMS applications. To this end, the MEMS Module provides predefined user interfaces with associated modeling tools, referred to as physics interfaces, for a variety of coupled physics, including electromagnetic-structure, thermal-structure, or fluid-structure interactions. You can include a variety of damping phenomena in your model: thin-film gas damping, anisotropic loss-factors for solid and piezo materials, anchor damping, and thermoelastic damping. For elastic vibrations and waves, perfectly matched layers (PMLs) provide state-of-the-art absorption of outgoing elastic energy.

  • Micropower, 3-Axis, ±200 g Digital Output, MEMS

    ADXL372 - Analog Devices Inc.

The ADXL372 is an ultralow power, 3-axis, ±200 g MEMS accelerometer that consumes 22 μA at a 3200 Hz output data rate (ODR).
