  • PXI Differential Fault Insertion Switch Modules

    Pickering Interfaces Ltd.

Pickering's PXI Differential Fault Insertion Switch Modules support multiple channels of two-wire serial interfaces. Each channel can simulate an open fault in either or both wires, a short between both wires or a short to externally applied fault conditions. *Two module types are available: Two wire fault insertion module suitable for CAN Bus and FlexRay.*High bandwidth two wire fault insertion module suitable for Gigabit Ethernet, AFDX and BroadR-Reach.

  • Ethernet/AFDX/BroadR-Reach PCI Fault Insertion Switch - 4 Channel

    50-201-004 - Pickering Interfaces Ltd.

This high bandwidth differential PCI fault insertion card is designed to simulate common faults on high speed two wire communication interfaces such as Ethernet. This card supports 4 or 8-channels of two wire serial connections and can be used for simulating faults on Ethernet, AFDX, Broad R-Reach, 100BaseT and 1000BaseT interfaces. Any wire can be set to an open circuit, shorts can be applied across the wire pair, or to the adjacent pair. Fault connections can be made to one of four external signals via two fault buses, typically simulating connections to a supply voltage or ground.

  • Ethernet/AFDX/BroadR-Reach PCI Fault Insertion Switch - 8 Channel

    50-201-008 - Pickering Interfaces Ltd.

This high bandwidth differential PCI fault insertion card is designed to simulate common faults on high speed two wire communication interfaces such as Ethernet. This card supports 4 or 8-channels of two wire serial connections and can be used for simulating faults on Ethernet, AFDX, BroadR-Reach, 100BaseT and 1000BaseT interfaces. Any wire can be set to an open circuit, shorts can be applied across the wire pair, or to the adjacent pair. • PXI Data Communications Multiplexer

    40-736-001 - Pickering Interfaces Ltd.

This Data Communications Multiplexer is designed specifically for multiplexing or de-multiplexing up to 32 differential signal pairs having controlled 100 differential impedance. The multiplexer can be configured under software control to provide switching for 32 differential pairs, 16 dual differential pairs and 8 quad differential pairs. The dual and quad versions are particular well suited for providing switching of AFDX, BroadR-Reach and Ethernet signals. To support Ethernet applications, the design includes a switching network that simplifies the swapping of Tx and Rx pairs to simulate the effect of Ethernet crossover cables.

  • PCI Fault Insertion Switch Range for Differential Serial Interfaces

    50-200/201 - Pickering Interfaces Ltd.

Pickering Interfaces, a leading supplier of modular signal switching for electronic test and simulation, is expanding its range of PCI Fault Insertion switching with the introduction of two new modules (models 50-200 and 50-201) designed for use with differential serial interfaces. PCI Fault Insertion Switch Cards for Differential Serial InterfacesThe new modules include the Differential PCI Fault Insertion Switch (model 50-200) which is designed for lower data rate serial interfaces such as CAN and FlexRay, and the High Bandwidth Differential PCI Fault Insertion Switch (model 50-201) which is designed for higher data rate serial interfaces such as AFDX and 1000BaseT Ethernet. Each module allows the introduction of fault connections that include data paths open, data paths shorted together, and data paths shorted to externally applied faults such as power supplies and ground. The software driver defaults to a protective mode where conflicting faults are prevented to avoid accidentally shorting unintended paths, such as power to ground. A separate mode allows complete freedom in setting fault patterns.

Fault connections can be made to one of four external signals via two fault buses, typically simulating connections to a supply voltage or ground. Each fault bus is capable of carrying 2A allowing multiple channels to be connected to the same fault condition. Additionally, each fault bus features a changeover relay to allow the user to connect alternative fault conditions to the fault buses.
