1553-USB-PIU
The 1553-USB-PIU is a Portable Interface Unit providing full MIL-STD-1553 test, simulation and bus analysis capability in a compact self-contained unit, to connect via a USB interface to suitable host systems. The unit provides support for all 1553A, 1553B, McAir and STANAG 3838 variants in a self contained battery operated unit, and is supplied with a matching power supply and battery charger unit for desk-top use. The 1553-USB-PIU supports concurrent Bus Controller (BC) and up to 31 Remote Terminals (RT) with Bus Monitor (BM). An additional stand-alone Chronological Bus Monitor (CBM) facility is also provided, with comprehensive multi-level triggering capability. Full error injection capability is provided in BC and RT modes, with full error detection in BC, RT, BM and CBM modes. The unit provides a variable amplitude dual redundant 1553 interface. 2 Mbytes of dual ported RAM are provided. The unit is supplied with "C" Driver library, together with a Windows GUI, providing a user friendly software tool for all 1553 set-ups, data management and storage.

The PK-232/USB brickwall filters have tighter bandwidth and steeper skirts for improved noise and QRM rejection. New PK-232 firmware (Ver. 7.2) allows a wider selection of filters than the original PK-232, so the filter can match the mode. The correct DSP filter is automatically selected when you choose an internal mode. In RTTY, Timewave’s proven Twin Peak Filters pluck the mark and space tones from the noise and QRM for great copy. In PACTOR, the filter bandwidth automatically changes when the baud rate shifts in response to the error rate of the link. In Morse (CW), the operator can preset either 100 Hz or 200 Hz bandwidth. The PK-232/USB is compatible with all Windows W2K,XP,Vista/Win7 software terminal programs for the PK-232.

The VSI-Breakout-15 is a very useful tool in debugging signals or software in a system. It allows unlimited access to signals within the cabling that might otherwise be difficult to access. The board gives test points at each side of the connector and jumper with a easy to use tabbed shunt to allow for easy disconnection of any particular signal between the connectors. The jumpers also give an opportunity to inject a signal regardless of what signal was originally being driven.
