The PXI‑2722 programmatically controls a series of relays to vary the resistance across each channel of an I/O connector. This function is well suited for simulating environmental conditions in hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) validation. The software provides a simple user interface that accepts inputs in units of temperature or resistance and configures the resistance across each channel.

Analog Input Products
Analog input boards are useful for measuring variably changing conditions in the real world. When we want to measure these variably changing conditions, we need analog inputs to convert these changing real world conditions to changing electrical quantities. For example, monitoring the temperature inside a wood kiln, or the water pressure on the output of a pump, or the heart rate of a medical patient. In each of these cases, you can use one of our analog input devices to convert the electrical data from a sensor or transducer into binary data that can then be used by your computer. The device that converts this data is known as an analog to digital converter (abbreviated ADC, A/D, or A to D). An analog input is a measurable electrical signal with a defined range. The analog input changes continuously in a definable manner in relation to the measured property. This data is very useful for process monitoring, process control, or simple monitoring / data collection and acquisition. The 40-262 is a 3U PXI module range that supports 6 (in one slot), 12 or 18 (in two slots) channels of RTD simulation. Based on the 40-260 design principles the module can provide a setting resolution of <8mΩ (PT100) or <90mΩ (PT1000) and a resistance accuracy of better than 0.1% on all channels. Each simulation channel is able to provide a short or open circuit setting to simulate faulty wiring connections to a sensor. Calibration or verification of each resistor channel can be verified by using the calibration port connected to a high performance DMM and a supplied software package.

Dual MAX31865 PT-100 RTD to Digital Breakout

Dual channel breakout board for the MAX31865 RTD-to-Digital converter from Maxim. Two breakout hardware configurations are available standard, designed to interface with either the PT100 or PT1000 platinum RTDs. For non-standard applications, including thermistors, custom hardware configurations can be accommodated. Contact Technical Support for more information. RTD devices may be wired in 2, 3 or 4-wire configurations using the 4-pin screw terminal input. The MAX31865 breakout is interfaced via 3 or 4-wire SPI with a data-ready output for specific operating modes.
