Fairview Microwave’s solid state GaN (Gallium Nitride) power amplifiers (also called SSPAs) feature broad frequency bands ranging from 30 MHz to 7.5 GHz and very high gain levels from 43 to 60 dB. These GaN SSPAs also show impressive harmonic response (-15 to -20 dBc) under worst case conditions. Saturated output power levels range from 10W to 100W with 20% to 35% Power Added Efficiency (PAE). All of our high power solid state GaN amplifiers from Fairview have internally regulated single voltage supplies. Our GaN SSPAs are designed to withstand environmental conditions such as humidity, altitude, shock and vibration with an operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +85°C. Some models are also equipped with integrated heat sinks and cooling fans. Most designs are EAR99.

EDM Modal Sine Testing includes a dedicated test setup and operation process flow using a single or multiple modal shakers outputting a sine wave to acquire FRF signals. The Source Output type is either Swept sine or Stepped sine. The sweep mode can be linear or logarithmic. The FRF signals of each measurement DOFs with respect to defined reference DOF will be constructed. The output drive level can be defined to run the test under no control strategy, or the response of a control channel can be specified to run the test in a closed loop.

The VM-540 Sonde Locator comes standard with sonde/camera frequencies of 512Hz, 640Hz and 33kHz, making it compatible with the major push cameras and crawler cameras on the market. In addition to a visual peak bar graph that reaches its peak when over the sonde, a matching audible tone is heard which is loudest when over the sonde. The dot matrix display in the VM-540 shows a peak response in a bar graph with matching signal strength numbers, battery condition, speaker level, frequency setting and depth to the sonde with the push of a button.

Various gain stages are summed together to best approximate the inverse frequency response of the cable. The Vector Gaussmeter displays the true magnitude of the field at any location as well as the X, Y, Z components of up to 800 gauss. Also separately displays peak values of X, Y, Z, and magnitude. There is a sound alarm that determines the locations where the field magnitude exceeds user-set threshold. Because magnitude is measured, the orientation of the sensor (E-W, N-S, and up-down) is not important; this is unlike a 1-axis gaussmeter. With the VGM the user can set the alarm to 15 gauss (for example) and it will sound (simultaneous with a red light) whenever the field exceeds 15 gauss for at least 5 milliseconds. Using the meter this way, it is easy to make a map of the 15 gauss line (or for whatever threshold is set) around a strong magnet. When using the alarm, of a steel part can be rapidly scanned to show if any areas exceed the set threshold. Then the "peak hold" function can be interrogated, showing the peak values of X, Y, Z (including polarity) and magnitude that occurred during the scan. Peak hold also has a 5 millisecond response time.
