  • Spectrometer - OSA

    HighFinesse GmbH

HighFinesse optical spectrometers LSA and HDSA are designed to analyse the multi-line or broadband spectrum of (un-)known light sources like cw and pulsed lasers, gas discharge lamps, super luminescence diodes, semiconductor laser diodes and LEDs. They are suitable to analyze the spectrum of telecom signals, resolve Fabry-Perot modes of a gain chip, and produce a spectral measurement of gas absorption.

  • Photometric Ozone Calibrator

Model T703 - Teledyne Advanced Pollution Instrumentation

The Model T703 is a microprocessor controlled ozone calibrator for precision gas analyzers. The Model T703 can deliver concentrations from 50 ppb to 5 ppm at flows from 1 LPM to 5 LPM.The Model T703 has two major components; the ozone generating device and the photometer. The ozone generator produces ozone by passing zero air over a UV lamp. Flow rate and lamp intensity are adjusted to deliver a specified ozone concentration by volume. The temperate and pressure compensated photometer, identical to that of the Model T400 ozone analyzer, provides feedback control of the UV lamp intensity, assuring stable ozone output. A nearly unlimited number of calibration sequences may be programmed into the non-volatile memory of the T703, covering time periods up to a year.

  • Trace-Level Photometric Ozone Calibrator

Model T703U - Teledyne Advanced Pollution Instrumentation

The Model T703U is a microprocessor controlled ozone calibrator for precision gas analyzers. Expanded ozone audit levels have created a need for precise ozone calibration well below the capabilities of standard calibrators. The Model T703U is designed to meet the requirements of ultra-low ozone production. In addition to a high range with similar performance to the Model T703, the Model T703U has the capability to generate ozone in a low range, or "fractional" mode, for producing ozone levels down to 3 ppb, with exceptional accuracy. Flow rate and lamp intensity are adjusted to deliver a specified ozone concentration by volume. The temperature and pressure compensated photometer, identical to that of the Model T400 ozone analyzer, provides feedback control of the UV lamp intensity, assuring stable ozone output. A nearly unlimited number of calibration sequences may be programmed into the non-volatile memory of the T703U, covering time periods up to a year.

  • Deep Ultraviolet Spectrophotometer System

    VUVAS-10X - McPherson, Inc.

A new ultraviolet spectrophotometer system for optical metrology just arrived at NASA Goddard! The VUVAS-10X spectrophotometer works best in the 90 to 160 nanometer wavelength range, also known as deep or vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) region. It uses a windowless hydrogen plasma light source and differential pump section to reach many wavelengths beyond those of conventional deuterium lamps. The source also works with other gases, or gas mixtures, for atomic spectral line emission from about 30 nanometers (double ionized Helium gas) up to the Visible light range. The new spectrophotometer system, McPherson VUVAS-10X, uses a one-meter focal length high-resolution monochromator with the special light source, scintillated detector and Model 121 goniometric sample chamber. The system is ideal for optical transmission, absorbance and specular reflectance at incident angles up to 60 degrees. This McPherson spectrophotometer system will help develop, inspect and qualify optical materials and coatings used for very high altitude and extraterrestrial space flight missions.

  • Radiometer

    X1-1-RCH-116-4 - Gigahertz-Optik GmbH

The X1-1 radiometer from Gigahertz-Optik features an RCH-116-4 detector and is ideal for measurement of the irradiance of high power LEDs in the UV-A and blue light range. The device can accurately measure irradiance levels of up to 40,000 mW/cm². One of the outstanding features of the RCH-116-4 detector is its proven concept of a passive radiation absorber coupled to a UV sensor. This provides stability even in high temperature and intense UV radiation environments. In addition to the passive radiation absorber, the device also has a cosine-corrected field of view. The sensor’s housing also serves as a handle. The battery-powered X1-1 optometer supports a usable dynamic range from less than 1 mW/cm² to 40,000 mW/cm² thanks to its high-end signal amplifier. It can be used to perform precise measurements of up to 5 standard LED wavelengths for which the detector was calibrated for active irradiance. In addition to the CW measurement function, the device also has a dose measurement function. The radiometer can be used with other detectors from the RCH series. e.g. for gas discharge lamps. Remote control of the device is possible via its user software and a software development kit is offered for integration of the device in the user’s own software.
