Frequency Multipliers

At MACOM we offer a line of frequency multipliers that can be used in a variety of communications applications. Our multipliers cover frequencies to 50 GHz and combine an active Doubler with an output buffer amplifier to deliver constant power over a range of input powers, resulting in an excellent rejection of the fundamental and harmonic products. MACOM’s multipliers are available as bare die or in surface mount lead-free QFN packages.

Huatai HA4600/IF series, is narrow-band multiplexing EDFA suitable for L-Band fiber link application. With build-in 1550nm Internal Modulation SAT-IF optical transmitter, used for inter-cutting DBS. The WDM inside will multiply the signal from TX and main line signal that is inputted from outside, then the combined signal will enter EDFA to be amplified to serve the local subscribers. To avoid the interferes caused by mismatching of the optical output power between TX and main line signal from outside, output power of the TX can go through a VOA, thus, it can be adjusted or set from the front panel. This unit is simple and clear, easy to be installed and tested. It offers a high quality and cost-effective solution for inter-cutting DBS into full optic relay 1550nm fiber CATV system and second-stage service area.

Farran’s 77 GHz FMCW Radar front end is based on a GaAs MMIC chipset offering wide bandwidth in a small outline package.The transmit signal is derived from an external VCO signal, internally multiplied, which also acts as the LO for the receive mixer. The resulting IF is conditioned for gain and filtering as required. The IF also contains an industry leading IF noise figure, especially in the frequency range below 500MHz. 4/8-CH 12-Bit 1 MS/s Analog Output Multi-Function PXI modules
PXI-2502
ADLINIK PXI-2501 and PXI-2502 are high-speed, high-performance analog output multifunction PXI modules. These devices are able to update up to 8-CH, 12-bit analog outputs imultaneously sustaining 1 MS/s. The reference sources and output polarities are programmable individually per channel. Combine this with the multiplying PXI architecture, ADLINK PXI-2500 series PXI modules can generate complex modulated analog signals. The hardware-based arbitrary waveform generation frees CPU intervention even when all analog outputs are updating at full speed, and the lengths of waveforms are only limited by the system memory. The PXI-2500 series integrate up to 8-CH, 400 kS/s, 14-bit single-ended analog inputs with programmable polarity, 24-CH programmable digital I/O lines, and 2-CH 16-bit general-purpose timer/counters.

The DCNTS is a two channel Phase and Amplitude noise analyzer. Its dual demodulator architecture allows the system to use cross-correlation to cancel its internal noise and limitation; it is like comparing the outputs of 2 systems and only display the similarities while rejecting differences. Its main extension is the Residual Noise measurement front-end which includes all necessary hardware to automatically measure residual noise on 2-ports devices either in RF frequencies or microwave. It could be a frequency multiplier or divider, an amplifier or any other phase coherent input to output device.

Multiplying Current Output D/A Converters

Frequency Multipliers
