This SparkFun Qwiic Digital Temperature Sensor Breakout provides a combination of high temperature accuracy with excellent low power consumption using the AS6212 digital temperature sensor from ams AG. The sensor measures temperature data up to ±0.2°C; accuracy over a wide range (-40°C; to +125°C;) and consumes an average of 6µA in normal operation (0.1µA in standby). The AS6212 communicates via I2C and has eight available I2C addresses selected by a pair of solder jumpers on the board. Physitemp’s original Thermes high accuracy ISA based data acquisition system has been redesigned to create a more versatile USB model. The new system requires no internal connections to your computer and simply connects via an external USB port on your laptop or desktop computer. Two versions of the data acquisition system are available. The standard version, THERMES USB, is connected to your computer USB port. The wireless version - THERMES USB WFI, can be either directly connected to a USB port or, with the included wireless receiver, positioned up to 100 feet from the host computer. Each unit will accommodate up to 7 type T thermocouple sensors and multiple Thermes units may be connected to the same computer for more thermocouple inputs. A high accuracy electronic cold junction compensation circuit maintains typical system accuracy of ±0.2°C over an ambient temperature range of 15 to 35°C. Using a 1280 x 1024 InGaAs sensor from SCD, the OwL 1280 offers visible extension from 0.6µm to 1.7µm to enable high sensitivity imaging. This model is for diametral strain measurement with furnace and induction heating systems. Quartz rods and water-cooling allow the unit to be used for high temperature testing of metals, ceramics and composites. With induction heating, this model often can be used without water-cooling. When used in furnaces, the extensometer is often mounted directly to the furnace side cut-out. Optional load frame mounting brackets are available for supporting the extensometer in cases where furnace mounting is not possible. These optional mounts are used with induction heating or furnace systems. The Model 3580 extensometers are strain gaged devices, making them compatible with any electronics designed for strain gaged transducers. Most often they are connected to a test machine controller. The signal conditioning electronics for the extensometer is typically included with the test machine controller or may often be added. In this case the extensometer is shipped with the proper connector and wiring to plug directly into the electronics. For systems lacking the required electronics, Epsilon can provide a variety of solutions, allowing the extensometer output to be connected to data acquisition boards, chart recorders or other equipment.
