The Temperature Input Device for FieldDAQ measures up to 16 thermocouple channels. The module features cold-junction compensation and open thermocouple detection with an LED indicator per channel to identify disconnected thermocouples. Additionally, the module incorporates Time Sensitive Networking (TSN), which provides tight synchronization over a distributed network of data acquisition nodes without additional cabling or complex programming. The device also features an integrated network switch and built-in power circuitry for simple daisy chaining.The Temperature Input Device for FieldDAQ includes the NI-DAQmx driver and configuration utility that simplify configuration and measurements. A water sampler is often used in conjunction with a CTD. The water sampler collects 1 or more actual samples of water for analysis in the lab after recovery of the package. The water samples can be used to verify the accuracy of data measured by the instruments on the package, and/or to provide additional information that cannot be measured with an instrument in the field. Sea-Bird water samplers can be controlled (i.e., bottles closed) from deck via a Sea-Bird deck unit and software, or can be pre-programmed to close bottles at desired depths. Sea-Bird manufactures two water samplers: the SBE 32 Carousel (up to 36 bottles, 1.7 - 30 liters, available in regular, compact, and sub-compact sizes, for depths to 10,500 m) and the SBE 55 ECO (small, 3- or 6-bottle sampler for depths to 600 meters).

The Keysight M8296A is a four-channel, high-speed electrical digitizer module for the AXIe platform. It can synchronously sample up to four incident waveforms and is ideally suited to digitize the output signals from a dual-polarization coherent receiver. Keysight's vector signal analyzer and optical modulation analyzer software serves as the M8296A's user interface and enables a multitude of test and measurement tasks such as spectral analysis and digital demodulation for the analysis of signal quality metrics like error-vector magnitude. Furthermore, the sampled waveform can be stored and processed with the user's own tools (e.g. using Matlab). The modular approach allows users to combine the M8296A high-speed digitizer with other modules in one mainframe such as the M8292A modular optical modulation analyzer and the M8196A 92 GSa/s arbitrary waveform generator.
