Scalar feed horns are offered as both standard and custom build models with either a circular or rectangular waveguide interface. While scalar feed horns with a rectangular waveguide interface can only support linear polarization, models with a circular waveguide interface can support various polarization types including horizontal, vertical, left-handed circular, and right-handed circular polarization for broader applications. The standard models operate across the full waveguide band and offer 17 dBi nominal gain, 25 degrees half power beamwidth and a -28 dB side lobe level at center frequency. The below standard offering covers the frequency range of 8.5 to 140 GHz. However, other frequencies or gain values are also available.

One example covers 10-13 GHz, offers 45 dB unattenuated small signal gain with 15 dB attenuation range. Typical gain flatness is ±0.5 dB, +35 dBm third order intercept point, +22 dBm minimum 1-dB gain compression, and 3.5 dB unattenuated noise figure 4.5 dB at full attenuation. PD5031 is an IP67 outdoor, weather resistant, DC blocking, three way, RF broadband, 50 ohm, power divider, power combiner furnished with N type coaxial connectors. The passive Wilkinson design passes RF, 10 MHz and DC current through one port, typically for powering an active antenna, with the other ports blocking DC. Max voltage rating at the DC blocked ports is 50 VDC. All wireless band applications in the frequency range from 698 to 2700 MHz are covered with best in class RF performance. The RoHS compliant PD5031 is a bidirectional device capable of 40 W max microwave input power level in both power splitter and combiner apps. The Benthos Directional Acoustic Transponder (DAT) is anextension to the Teledyne Benthos ATM-900 Series modem, which automatically estimates the azimuthal and vertical arrival angles of a message sent by a remote modem. The system is a modified ultra-short baseline (USBL) which uses a broadband component of a typical modem message to form estimates of arrival angle(s). While conventional USBL devices employ tonal signals, our appropriate processing of wide band signals provides far better combined range and arrival angle estimation, especially at low Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR). Our device offers a clear 360 degree field of view in azimuth, and an approximate vertical coverage spanning + 90º overhead to -50º below horizontal.
