Model 990A/990C
The Model 990 Series Magnetreaters® are highly accurate, pulse type, ringing demagnetizers (also called treaters) for the controlled stabilization of permanent magnets and permanent magnet assemblies. Regardless of line voltage stability, they provide a controlled output through continuous pulse amplitude regulation. Treating voltage is variable from 0 to 600 VDC. Additional energy can be added to the Model 990 Series by interconnecting a Model 992 Energy Booster. The energy level is increased from 18 to 36 watt-seconds. With this option, treating coils will produce higher demagnetizing fields and lower ringing frequencies, which can provide greater field penetration in some applications.

Users of Trimble Construction Siteworks software are now able to easily measure water depth and execute accurate small-scale hydrographic surveys. Ohmex Ltd has made use of the Siteworks Software Developers Kit (SDK) to produce a software utility that runs on the controller and supplies depth data to Siteworks. This increment in functionality further enhances the use of the Siteworks system on marine construction sites where dams or waterways are present.The concept of the Sonar extension to Siteworks is to enable the construction user to execute simple Hydrographic surveys using their Siteworks software together with existing positioning equipment, no need to learn another package or convert to new reporting facilities, the sonar effectively behaves as an extension to the existing survey detail pole for measuring water depth. The software is an inter-application package with both the Siteworks and SonarMite applications running concurrently on a Windows 10 Tablet or PC platform. The A994 is an open circuit locator for electric and telephone cables wind on the reel; it gives the position of the fault from the inside or outside end of the cable, in percentage to the total cable length. The instrument measures the ratio of the capacitances of the two sections of failed conductor using two high precision i/v converters. The advantage of this method is due to the fact that the measurement error depends almost exclusively on the dimensional inhomogeneity of the cable. The A994 has the unique feature to permit the location of fault in cables with all broken wires. This instrument locates breaks in cables with a total capacity between 2 nF and 5 uF. The distance to fault is displayed on a large LCD display.
