Video Data Encoder, Model 6041R-8, is a programmable video insertion generator which inserts a variety of man and machine readable annotation and graphics into existing RS170 or NTSC video signal. Additionally the unit includes a video sync generator, which produces an RS-170A (NTSC) composite signal with black burst, which is synchronized, to the IRIG B serial time signal. This signal is used to synchronize video cameras that are connected to the 6041R-8. All cameras genlocked to like units operating on a common serial time signal will be precisely synchronized. A handheld terminal is included which is used for local setup and user display configuration.
