PXI And PXIe Backplanes

PXIe defines cPCIe for Instrumentation adding additional enhancements, with the same form factor as cPCIe. PXIe adds additional signals and chassis requirements just like VXI adds to VME. Unlike VXI, PXIe does not require that the card be enclosed in a metal shield.
Elma Electronic also offers PXI backplanes are available in 3U heights. All PXI Backplanes are compliant to PXI Specification.
