  • Tap Changer Analyzers & Winding Ohmmeters

    IBEKO Power AB

Winding resistance test of inductive test objects, such as power transformers, is one of the most effective non-intrusive ways of checking its condition. Due to their advanced design, DV Power winding resistance meters provide high test currents (up to 100 A DC) and high accuracy (up to 0.1%) within light and portable test instruments. In addition to winding resistance measurement, it is also possible to perform simple, quick and reliable transformer on-load tap changer condition assessment by recording the test current during tap changer operation, also known as DVtest. Because of that, problems with a tap changer connection, contacts, and switching procedure can be detected.DV Power winding ohmmeters consist of single-phase RMO-T and three-phase TWA series. Models from the TWA series are designed for six-winding resistance measurement of power and distribution transformers, with only one single-step cable setup. As a result of reducing the total test time, it enables significant saving of time and money.Typical application areas of these instruments are high-voltage substations and industrial environments. They are intended to measure the resistance of:Transformer windingsOn-load tap changersGeneratorsElectrical motorsHigh-current bus bar jointsCable splicesWelding joints

  • Micro-Ohmmeters

RMO-A Series - IBEKO Power AB

The RMO-A is a portable micro-ohmmeter designed for contact resistance measurements of switchgear during manufacturing, commissioning and maintenance stages. This micro-ohmmeter is widely used by medium and high-voltage circuit breakers manufacturers. Other typical applications are testing of disconnecting switches, high-current bus bar joints, cable splices, and different high-current links. It accurately measures not only in factory environments but also in high-induction fields and substationsThe RMO-A series contains 6 models, rated from 100 A (RMO100A) to 600 A (RMO600A). The RMO500A (formerly CPM500) is our best seller, with 500 A ripple-free current and weighs only 8 kg.Although placed in a very portable and lightweight metal housing, RMO-A micro-ohmmeters have very high output power capabilities. They can generate 600 A test current continuously for up to 20 s. You can test with current up to 100 A without rest time. High output voltage enables a wider measurement range at the highest test currents, as well as the use of thinner/longer test cables. For testing with 100 A, 20 m test leads can be provided with only 16 mm2 cross-section.RMO-A micro-ohmmeter generates a true DC ripple-free (less than 1 %) current with automatically regulated test ramps. During a test, the RMO-A ramps up with increasing current before measuring and decreasing current after the measurement. This significantly decreases magnetic transients and ensures great accuracy. An additional option is a built-in High Precision module suitable for measurement of very low resistances, ranges from 1 to 30 µΩ, with 0,01 µΩ resolution. These instruments can store up to 500 measurements in internal memory. A built-in thermal printer is available as an option. Our free DV Win software communicates with the RMO-A micro-ohmmeters via USB or RS232 interface. It allows you to run the test remotely from PC, as well as to download test results, analyze and generate fully configurable test reports.

  • Micro-Ohmmeters

    IBEKO Power AB

Contact resistance measurement is one of the most important and common tests during switchgear manufacturing, commissioning and maintenance stages. Besides switchgear testing, the RMO digital micro-ohmmeters are designed for simple, safe and efficient testing of:disconnecting switches,high-current bus bar joints, cable splices, welding joints, and different high-current links in factory and high-induction field environments. All DV Power RMO micro-ohmmeters use Kelvin’s 4-point measurement principle which is the most convenient for very small resistance measurements. The measurements are accurate and in accordance with international standards for AC high-voltage circuit breakers testing (IEEE C37.09 and IEC 62271-100).Starting from 2003, DV Power has been a trend-setter on the market when our first 500 A micro-ohmmeter weighing only 8 kg (RMO500A / CPM500) was released.Currently, DV Power products portfolio includes 16 models, divided into 3 series:13 portable models: RMO-A (6) and RMO-G (7) series.6 handheld models: RMO-H (6) seriesThe instruments generate a user-selectable and ripple-free test current up to 800 A in an automatically regulated test ramp. Test current ramping significantly decreases the influence of the magnetic transients to measurement.

  • Battery Supervisors

    IBEKO Power AB

DV Power manufactures ideal tools for maintenance, troubleshooting and performance tests on stationary batteries.Capacity testing is performed in order to detect which cells in the string should be replaced by measuring a cell voltage, temperature, inter-cell connection voltage, and specific gravity.IEEE standards for stationary battery applications also stipulate measuring these key parameters during periodic battery inspections.DV Power provides two types of instruments:BVS series – for automated monitoring of battery parametersBVR series – for manual monitoring of battery parametersIn contrast to BVS, BVR instruments can be used for the transfer of electrolyte specific gravity measurements from a density meter (DMA35) via Bluetooth. This provides a more extensive analysis of each cell in the tested battery string.

  • Circuit Breaker Test Equipment

    IBEKO Power AB

DV Power has released a new generation of circuit breaker test equipment for condition assessment of medium and high voltage circuit breakers.Field-portable instruments with standalone or PC controlled functionality, allow performing various tests during circuit breaker manufacturing, commissioning and maintenance stages.Applications supported by the DV Power test equipment include measurements of:Contact resistanceDRM (dynamic resistance measurement)Coil resistance and coil current (IEC 62271-100)Mechanism charging time (IEC 62271-100)Minimum trip voltage (IEC 56, ANSI C37.09)Undervoltage release (IEC 60694)The timing of a circuit breaker’s main, auxiliary and pre-insertion contactsSynchronization between the contactsMotion and velocity“First trip” testThe essential part of a circuit breaker condition assessment is the ability to compare the latest test results with the previous testing. Accordingly, our instruments store measured values and compare them to a manufacturer’s limits. Also, a fingerprint obtained in this way can be used at a later stage as a reference during subsequent measurements. In order to obtain an accurate comparison, the tests need to be performed using identical test parameters. Consequently, any deviation and change in the test results may indicate the circuit breaker condition deterioration. Even more, to overcome this issue, DV-Win enables test plans and graph overlay features. Finally, as a final result of a circuit breaker maintenance process, the DV-Win provides analytical tools and customized report creations.

  • Single-Phase Transformer Winding Resistance Meters

RMO-TW Series - IBEKO Power AB

RMO-TW series is perfect for winding resistance measurements of inductive objects. It is ideal for testing transformer windings (power transformers, distribution, autotransformers) and for on-load tap changer verification. In addition, any RMO-TW transformer ohmmeter & tap changer analyzer can also perform transformer demagnetization. The series contains 4 models, with maximal test currents from 10 A (RMO10TW) to 50 A (RMO50TW). They are fitted in a portable and lightweight metal housing. All transformer ohmmeters from RMO-TW series generate a true DC ripple-free current with automatically regulated measurement and discharging circuit. The injection of current and discharge of energy from the test object are automatically regulated.Three independent channels enable testing of three windings in series. Consequently, this enables measurements of winding resistance in every tap position of an on-load tap changer without discharging between the tests.DV-Win software enables control and observation of the test process, as well as saving and analyzing the results on a PC. It provides a test report, arranged in a selectable form as an Excel spreadsheet, PDF, Word, or ASCII format.
