Klein Instruments Corp

Klein Instruments was founded in 1983 by Tektronix engineers who saw a way to make a better product for a lower price. Taking what they had learned, they began production by selling the Klein Convergence Gauge out of a garage in Portland Oregon. Eventually Klein moved out of the garage and developed newer products that rivaled, and surpassed, those already in the competitive market of display testing equipment. Today Klein Instruments is known for its reliability and high quality line of products.

  • CIE Colorimeter Probe

    K-1 - Klein Instruments Corp

The Klein K-1 tri-stimulus CIE Colorimeter Probe is designed to be the best colorimeter in sensitivity, stability and speed. It attaches directly to a pc's serial com port (RS-232), and runs with the companion pc program. Whether a desktop or a laptop is used, the Klein measurement application is in control and many additional features are available.

  • Convergence Gauge

    Klein Instruments Corp

This small, handheld, opto-mechanical device is used to measure the convergence error between the lines of a CRT display. This sturdy, accurate tool is sufficient to obtain measurements that are invaluable to engineers, manufacturers, and quality inspectors. The CM7A series is made for monitors, the CM14A series is for medium-sized screens, and the CM28A series is for large-screen and rear-projection big-screen TVs.

  • Colorimeter

    K10-A - Klein Instruments Corp

The Klein K10-A has long been regarded as the industry standard in LCD calibration. It's enhanced optics give it a 3X advantage in sensitivity over the original K-10 SF. Known for it's superior speed, the K10-A can stream intensity data in 3.2 milliseconds, and can provide color data in 125 milliseconds. The Klein K10-A is also extremely sensitive and color accurate. Large photo-diodes give the probe superior performance even in extremely low light (down to 0.00006 cd/m2). Klein diodes are very large; 5mm x 5mm each, and are thermally stable and linear to report the highest degree of accuracy. The unparalleled speed and iconic design of this colorimeter have made it the most widely known Klein product.

  • COLORIMETER FOR SMALL DISPLAYS

    K-8 - Klein Instruments Corp

The Klein K-8 tri-stimulus CIE Colorimeter Probe is designed to be the best colorimeter in sensitivity, stability and speed. It attaches directly to a pc's serial com port (RS-232), and runs with the companion pc program. Whether a desktop or a laptop is used, the Klein measurement application is in control and many additional features are available.

  • Colorimeter

    K-80 - Klein Instruments Corp

The new Klein K-80 Colorimeter has been upgraded with enhanced optics, giving it a 16X advantage in sensitivity over the previous K-8. The K-80 continues the Klein tradition of high speed, versatile, mobile and accurate colorimeters that Klein has come to be known for. The K-80 can be used on any display size, not just small ones, although the smaller measurement area makes it ideal for hard to measure screen sizes.
