Wafer Bonder
Wafer bonding has been explored since the 1960's. Many semiconductor manufacturers are researching and producing DWB semiconductors. There are two basic types of DWB, Silicon on Insulator (SOI) and Silicon Direct (Si/Si). There are several applications for both of these methods which include: smart power, DI IC, sensors and micromechanical actuators. Some of these bonded semiconductors offer high temperature and radiation resistance qualities. These attributes and applications only represent some of the possibilities associated with DWB.
