Vortex CompactPCI is an Open Data Recording platform which is optimized for high performance data buffering and flexible data flows between I/O ports in a CompactPCI system. I/O ports are provided through front panel connectors and CompactPCI J1, J3 and J5 backplane connectors. Additional features are available on a RTM (Rear Transmission Module) board, which is connected through J3 and J5 backplane connectors. The Vortex CompactPCI is controlled via a web-browser GUI or through a customer application by running XML-RPC. Real-time Operating system support for VxWorks and Linux (TimeSys).
