Triple Play Testing
The NTS Telecommunications NAIL also provides an environment for G.983 Passive Optical Network (PON) testing and interoperability certification. As carriers begin to deploy ?triple play? (voice, video and broadband) offerings over FTTP (fiber to the premises) PON networks, the NAIL provides the infrastructure to test and certify interoperability of an ONT (optical network terminal) against a variety of host OLTs (optical line terminals).
