Three Axis Fluxgate Magnetometers

A three-axis fluxgate magnetometer contains three sensors, in an orthogonal (x,y,z) arrangement. The magnetometer will have three outputs, as it measures the magnetic field strength in the three directions corresponding to the three sensor axis. If required, a three-axis fluxgate magnetometer can be used to determine total magnetic field strength and direction, by applying simple vector addition.
