Series Y - Universal foil strain gage for stress analysis and simple transducers
For experimental stress analysis, HBM has introduced a new series of strain gages (S.G.) with pigtails, based on the series that has proved its worth in stress analysis, the Y-series. A wide variety of variants of the various geometries will soon be available in different temperature sensitivity adaptations. These are provided with 40 mm-long teflon-insulated connection wires. These S. Gs. are then specifically customized with optional pigtail lengths (0.5 m to 10m) connected in 2, 3 or even 4-wire circuits. The modular principle introduced by HBM achieves maximum flexibility, as a vast selection of different S.Gs. can be connected with any number of cabling variants. These new prefabricated S. Gs. not only let you save an enormous amount of time during installation, they also increase your installation security.
