Sand and Dust Chambers
This chamber is dedicated to meeting a very specific automotive test specification. It has been developed to test an automotive component's resistance to a dust-filled atmosphere. The Model D-27 meets SAE Dust Test specification J-575, sub-paragraph "G". The equipment operates by intermittently blowing compressed air up through finely powdered dust and letting the dust settle back down, covering the product. The D-27 has a chest configuration, allowing products to be lowered into the workspace
