SBC Carrier with 3 Module sites and I/O facilities, VME size. The need for 100% fault-tolerant DSP systems has been a dream of Sundance for a long time. The development of the SMT128 provides a platform for 3-way redundancy. If two out of three SMT128s in a turn-key system become damaged, the functionality of the last SMT128 would ensure that the system would continue functioning with no loss of performance. When a faulty SMT128 is being replaced, the live SMT128 will simply continue un-interrupted. This is only possible thanks to Sundances unique implementation of a distributed and modular DSP concept and the SMT128 can hold three such Modules
