M318 - Centronics/Parallel Controller M-module
The M318 Centronics Parallel Controller M-module is based on the Z8536 CIO. It is capable of reading and writing 16 binary signals and can be programmed to generate interrupts when detecting transitions of the individual inputs. The M318 can be used as an industry standard Centronics interface, or as a 16-bit parallel I/O controller. Used as a Centronics interface, all handshake signals are provided by hardware.
