Wyle Laboratories has developed rectangular and cylindrical chamber designs for simulating high altitude conditions in a controlled on-the-ground circumstance that ensures the safety of personnel undergoing aircrew training. Physiological reactions to the reduction of pressure and psychological reactions to explosive decompression are measured accurately while chamber occupants breathe oxygen and communicate via masks, helmets and console systems.
