Hybrid, Band WDM / MEMS Attenuator
DiCon's MEMS Band WDM/VOA Hybrid is based on a micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) chip integrated with a thin film filter. The Wideband WDM couples the express channels from the common fiber to the express fiber while transmitting the rest of the input signal onto a movable MEMS mirror. The movable mirror in turn is aligned to the add fiber port with a level of attenuation which depends on the applied voltage.
