Digiphone T16/9
The Digiphone is a very sensitive device to pinpoint and locate difficult or "quiet" faults on primary cables. Its operation is based on the "thunder & lightning" principle. The flashover at the fault will generate both a magnetic and acoustic signal. The time delay between the two signals (speed of light vs. speed of sound) is displayed as a number on the LCD. Decreasing numbers indicate closing in on the fault.
