Clarinet - Protocol Analyser, Simulator & Conformance Test System
The PDS Clarinet test system is a very well respected and established solution for a wide range of protocol analysis, simulation and development applications. Physical interface pods are available for E1/T1, S/T-U and LAN (Ethernet 10/100 Mbit/S). The Clarinet system includes a Run-Time software license and Clarinet pod(s) supporting the relevant interfaces required for your application. Clarinet interface pods connect to any suitable PC host, via USB and up to seven pods may be connected and controlled simultaneously. The Clarinet Run-Time software license operates under Windows 2000 or XP.
The Clarinet system enables simultaneous monitoring or simulation while connected to multiple network nodes, allowing comprehensive interoperability testing. An ISDN call may be generated and answered as an H.323 call or a SIP call may be generated and answered as SS#7, with all events decoded and time stamped in one Window using one very accurate reference clock. PESQ (Perceptual Evaluation of Speech Quality) is available as an option for the Clarinet in order to test speech quality from LAN to LAN or LAN to WAN via a Gateway. The Clarinet model 2003 LAN interface pod is also licensed to support the G.729 codec.
