CX77304-17 PAM is designed for tri-band cellular handsets comprising EGSM900, DCS1800, PCS1900, and also supports Class 10 GPRS multi-slot operation. It consists of two separate HBT PA blocks fabricated on a single GaAs dieone supports the EGSM900 band; the other the DCS1800 and the PCS1900 bands50 ? input and output impedance, with a current amplifier and internal interface circuitry provided by a custom CMOS IC. Both PAs share common power supply pins to distribute current. The GaAs die, the Si die, and passive components are mounted on a multi-layer laminate substrate, the assembly encapsulated with plastic overmold.
