COBRA1000 - Migration of HP 1000 to a regular PC
COBRA-1000, complete HP1000 Hardware/Software emulation on PC add-in cards, can make legacy systems run faster, with more throughput than the original system together with ethernet networking and integration with Windows functionality. No changes to the software (TPSs) are required (i.e. Migration of ATLAS and HP- BASIC without code changes)! The HP1000 CPU, memory, disks, tapes, serial lines, and Ethernet controller are emulated by mapping their functionality into the COBRA-1000 PCI Co-Processor board. Based on the fact that the COBRA-1000 recognizes native HP1000 binary instructions, it is able to execute existing HP1000 software.
