AL7701 CARRIER DOPPLER MEASUREMENT SYSTEM
The Model 7701 implements a Carrier Doppler Measurement system (CDMS) in a compact 7? high rack mount unit. The CDMS unit accepts the Second Local Oscillator (LO) from a tracking receiver and measures the frequency offset present versus the nominal LO frequency. This difference is due to the satellites motion creating Doppler shift on the RF link.
